General information about the 2012 Canadians in Saskatoon

Introduction
You are cordially invited to the 2012 Canadian Horseshoe Pitching Championships that will be held from July 11-14 in Saskatoon. This annual event, which started in 1927, has been held in Saskatchewan on 4 different occasions (1984, 1992, 2000 and 2006) but this will be the first in Saskatoon. See the champions and various hosts through the years.

Accomodations
The host hotel is the Colonial Square Inn and Suites (colonialsquareinn.com) located at 1301 8th Street East. The number of rooms available is limited so book early. See our section on Saskatoon Hotels for more information.
There are approximately 30 unserviced spots for RV's and Trailers around the rink. Other campgrounds in the Saskatoon area are listed here.

More things to know
There is a concession booth for all players and visitors. Breakfast, lunch and supper will be available on playing days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Practice courts will be available behind the curling rink (4 courts). Just 2 or 3 blocks away are 6 more courts for practice, with walkways from 30' to 40'.
The Horseshoe Canada Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held Tuesday late afternoon or early evening July 10th in the lounge upstairs at the curling rink.
The banquet will be held Saturday evening in the lounge upstairs at the curling rink.
There will be a shuttle to and from the hotel and pickup at the airport
