2002 CANADIAN HORSESHOE CHAMPIONSHIPS

AUGUST 13 – 17, 2002

CALGARY, ALBERTA

Here is a bit of information for the scheduling of events for the upcoming tournament.

1. Annual General Meeting to take place at The 275 Legion at 755 40 Street SE At 1:00 PM on August 13, 2002

2. Grand Opening Assembly at 8:30 AM Aug. 14 at the Courts.

3. Parade and Opening Ceremonies at 9:00 AM.

4. First scheduled pitching will be at 10:00 AM

5. All Play will be in Clay indoors.

There have been several inquiries as to the availability of hotels. Rooms are available at the Glenmore Inn at 2720 Glenmore Trail SE. The Inn is located approximately 7 blocks (2 km) from the Calgary Horseshoe Club. Phone 1-800-661-3163. Please advise the reservations personnel that you are a Horseshoe Player and you will be given a rate or $79.00 per night + taxes. Please try to make you reservations before June 15, 2002.

Information on RV parking and Banquet will be sent to the website by May 31, 2002.
