Clark M. Brown is the 2007 Horseshoe Canada Hall of Fame Inductee in the Male Promoter/Organizer/Administrator category. The following resume was read by Jack Adams during the presentation on July 14, 2007.

General:
Clark Brown was born in Windsor, Nova Scotia on March 4, 1918. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces (Army) during World War II.

Local level:
Clark first started playing during WW2 and formed a local club while employed at HMC Dockyard in Halifax. In 1972 he was a founding member of Halifax Horseshoe Club and served as President from 1982 to 1995. He organized and supported Special Olympic Programs in Halifax. He was selected to carry the Olympic Torch in November 1987 prior to the 1988 Olympic Winter Games in Calgary.

Provincial level:
Clark served on the N.S. Horseshoe Players Association from 1983 in various capacities especially fund raising and publicity for hosting the 1989 and 2005 Canadian Championships. He attended one of the first Maritime Horseshoe Championships in 1972 in Saint John and has served on the executive continuously in various capacities.

National level:
Clark competed in his first Canadian Championships in 1983 and travelled across the Country numerous times since that year, attended the AGMs as a voting delegate for Nova Scotia. He served on the Hall of Fame Committee since its inception. He took several coaching courses at Dalhousie University obtaining Level III status.

Clark also competed in the World Championships in Syracuse, N.Y. (1994) and Kitchener, Ont. (1997). It is indeed an honor to induct Clark Brown into the Horseshoe Canada Association Hall of Fame.
