Born (Myrna Taylor) December 9, 1936 in Stauffer, Alberta. Married Jim Kissick in 1957 (dec. 1985). Has stepson Kenneth Kissick. She threw the flip shoe, right handed. Myrna's horseshoe pitching career began in 1972. She won the Bronze Medal in her first official competition, the Alberta Summer Games, Innisfail 1972. Has received the Alberta Achievement award in 1980 and 1982 from Province of Alberta from then... Premier Peter Lougheed for outstanding achievement and competitiveness in sport of horseshoe pitching (the only Alberta pitcher to receive this award). Inducted in the Alberta H.P. Association Hall of Fame 1987 (Player Category)

Alberta women's singles champion 12 times: 1976-77-78-80-81-86-88-91-92-93-94-95 Canadian women's singles champion 5 times: 1976-80-81-92-98 Record High ringer % for complete tournament: 79.9% (at the 1988 Alberta Championship) Involved in the best game ever thrown by women at: 1995 Canadian Championship (126 shoes with Sylvianne Moisan). Played 8 times in the womens championship division at the World Tournament (best finish was 5th in 1992 with 77.4% - Columbus, Ohio). Won every Western Classic women's competition she participated in from 1986 to date (was absent in '93). Her personal high at the Canadian championships is 78.42% in 1992. Her high game was 94.4% at the 1996 nationals. She threw at least 6 games over 90% at the Canadians.
