Sharon Lea Ellison was born December 7, 1949. With husband Marvin Ellison (born Dec. 12, 1941), they had a son James, and two daughters, Charolette and Tammy. Lefthander, Sharon's first tournament was in 1974 at Leslie Beach. She competed until 1983 when back problems caused her to stop. Editor of Horseshoe Sask. Newsletters from 1976 to 1995. President of Horseshoe Sask. from 1980-86 and 1988-89. Executive director from 1989 until her death on February 11, 1998 (at age 48). President of Horseshoe Canada 1992-93, tournament director from 1984 to 1991 and 1994-1997. Was also treasurer of Horseshoe Canada from 1994.
