1990 Canadian Championships Top three Men with Ed Murray
Howard Weitzel, Ed Murray, Colin Finnie and Marvin Ellison
This great picture shows the late Ed Murray, who passed away recently, and Saskatchewan's big three.
Howard (4) and Colin (5) combined for 9 Canadian Men's titles (Howard was the first to win precisely in 1990).
But Marvin Ellison is one of the best 4 players not to win the title (along with Fernand Thibeault, Eric Beaudoin and Robert Riehl). He was runner-up in 1991, 1992 and 1994 and lost in the semi-finals in 1989 and 1990.
Husband of the late Sharon Ellison who was Horseshoe Canada President. Marvin is very seriously ill.
