With 37 players, this was the largest group of juniors EVER at the Canadian Championships. Previous peaks were 35 juniors reached in 1987 and 1984.
Twenty of the 37 juniors came from the Aylmer area, where the 2009 Canadian Championships will be held. They can easily be recognized in the above picture, wearing their red t-shirts.
